Primary Saint Patrick’s Day Activities
Google Drawing
Decorate a shamrock in Google Drawing using this free template from The Techie Teacher. You will be prompted to make a copy. Have students find images, draw images or type words about things that make them feel lucky.
Saint Patrick’s Day Games to practice Tech Skills
These games on Primary Games are a mix of academic content and tech skills, making them perfect practice for our youngest students. There is also a Saint Patrick’s Day Crossword Puzzle, Word Search and Shamrock Hunt on ABCya!
Middle Elementary Saint Patrick’s Day Activities
Students can build “Clover Chaser,” a simple game where rotating clovers appear wherever you click and the leprechaun will go collect them. This project comes with step-by-step instructions that teach students how to create this game and how to customize it to make it their own.
Saint Patrick’s ASCII Art Challenges
Have your students attempt some Saint Patrick’s Day images with ASCII. ASCII artwork is created with the symbols and characters that you have available to you on your computer keyboard.
Saint Patrick’s Day Binary Bracelets
Give this binary bracelets activity from Code.org a Saint Patrick’s twist by making your messages out of pipe cleaners with green and orange beads
Upper Elementary Saint Patrick’s Day Activities
Magnet Poetry
The St. Patrick’s Day Poetry Magnets template can be used as either an independent or collaborative writing activity. Utilize the “magnets” included and/or add your own text boxes to extend the activity—although I think part of the challenge is to use the words provided.
As students learn the facts about Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, they will separate these from the myths and uncover FIVE hidden pieces of a puzzle.
Saint Patrick’s Day Break-Outs
Try this free Saint Patrick’s Day Escape Room. In this free virtual escape room, players will build Leprechaun traps to help them catch a Leprechaun on St. Patrick’s Day. As you play, players will learn all about this holiday.

Saint Patrick’s Day with Instructables
Instructables is an online community of people writing how-tos. Have your students pick out a Saint Patrick’s Day themed project to try out, or make one of their own to contribute! The website provides a video tutorial if you’d like some guidance in helping your students create their first how-to.
I hope these Saint Patrick’s Day themed activities for the elementary computer lab give your students a run of good luck with technology!
