Primary Easter Activities
Fill with Color Easter Coloring
Take a screenshot of any Easter coloring page you find available for free download online, then open the resulting .png file in Paint or any other drawing program with a Fill by Color feature. If you do this step projected on the board (or maybe even guide your students through doing it themselves), your students will learn about screenshots and file types. Then show them the Fill by Color drawing program feature and let them have fun coloring while they get in lots of mouse control practice!
Easter Games to practice Tech Skills
These Easter games on Primary Games are a mix of academic content and tech skills, making them perfect practice for our youngest students. There is also an Easter Crossword Puzzle, Word Search, Egg Hunt and Make an Easter Egg game on ABCya!
Middle Elementary Easter Activities
Students can use this guide to create a simple Easter game using Scratch. When they are done, Mr. Easter Bunny will be ready to go grab eggs to give out to his favorite kids! Players help him to seek and collect his eggs, then count how many beautiful designs his eggs have. Alternatively, you can have students check out Easter projects on Tynker for inspiration then create one of their very own.
For an unplugged coding experience try this jelly bean project with your students!
Have your students attempt some Easter images with ASCII. ASCII artwork is created with the symbols and characters that you have available to you on your computer keyboard.
Upper Elementary Easter Activities
Design an Easter Bunny Trap
Take this idea digital by using Google drawings, Canva, or another graphic design platform of your choice to have students create a proposal for their very own Easter bunny trap design.
Have your students try out this digital logic puzzle searching for who is hoarding the best Easter egg dye.
Easter Break-Outs
Try this Easter Escape Room. In this free virtual escape room, it’s Easter and if you want to join your friends and family at the Easter party, you have to find all of your eggs quickly. Can you find all of your eggs and get to the party in time?

Easter Egg Hunt with Google Maps and QR Codes
Use this guide to create a Google Maps Easter egg hunt around campus that students navigate by scanning QR codes. Set up teams and give them a pre-set time within which they have to finish the hunt and return to class. Fill their hidden Easter eggs with tokens for privileges (like a homework pass or 10 minutes early release), or hand out Easter goodies at the end of the task. If you don’t think wandering around campus will work for your class, you can have them use this method to create their own Easter egg hunt to use with friends and family instead.
I hope these Easter themed activities for the elementary computer lab get your students hopped up on technology!
