Primary Christmas Activities
Christmas Games to practice Tech Skills on Digipuzzle.net and ABCya
There are currently 90 games tagged in the Christmas category on digipuzzle.net and another 8 games featured on ABCya. The games are a mix of academic content and tech skills, making them perfect practice for our youngest students.
Turn Your Class Into Elves ElfYourself
ElfYourself lets students paste a photo of their face onto an animated elf body. They can then type a short greeting and watch their elf dance.
Middle Elementary Christmas Activities
Acrostic Poems Gifs
Have students use PicCollage (or PicKids for younger students) to create an acrostic poster on a word related to Christmas. Next, have your students use an app like Lumyer to layer on falling snow or other holiday effect. Then they save their creation as a movie or an animated gif!
Christmas ASCII Art Challenges
Have your students attempt some Christmas images with ASCII. ASCII artwork is created with the symbols and characters that you have available to you on your computer keyboard.
Upper Elementary Christmas Activities
More Christmas Coding
Students can work on their coding skills with Santa Tracker, or by programming a winter story or game on Scratch.
Augmented Reality Projects
Use 3dbear, an iOS App or another augmented reality creation tool to let students layer virtual representation over real spaces. They can create their own winter scene, add virtual props to a Christmas play or create whatever else they can think of!
For 39 years, PNC has calculated the prices of the 12 gifts from the classic song, “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” The PNC Christmas Price Index® remains a whimsical holiday tradition. After taking a look around you can send your students into Sheets to make some graphs with the information.
Bonus! Middle/High School Activity Ideas
Christmas Break-Outs
