There are 4 levels for each design.

•Level 1 is the easiest and only includes the colors of that specific design. There are multiple of each color snap cube layered over each other so students shouldn’t have to copy/duplicate the cubes to make the full design. There is also a grid over the design to help students place the blocks.

•Level 2 is the same as level 1 except no grid and less layers of the snap cubes.

•Level 3 brings in extra colors and students will have to copy/duplicate the blocks as only a few are layered.

•Level 4 has only one of each color snap cube

What teachers said on TPT

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 133 teachers on Teachers Pay Teachers.

“I used this as a station during the week before Christmas. The students could use the smartboard to drag the pixel art pieces to the proper spots to create the pixel picture. They all loved it! It was a group activity so they had to take turns and help each other - fun to watch them work together.”

— brooke G., TPT review

“Students enjoyed creating these pictures. Only two at a time could be finished within a 30-minute time period with first grade students. Students worked on Chromebooks, and many times they would accidentally "group" all of the cubes together and move the entire pile. While this would have been easily noticed and fixed during in person learning, I did not understand the first graders' explanation of what had happened to their cubes until they were able to share their screens with me.”

— Christine M., TPT review

“My students loved this resource as an early finisher activity. I love that teachers can assign different levels of difficulty based on the skill level of each class. Highly recommend! Students asked for more pixel art in the future!”

— Tracy J., TPT review
