These activities are designed to be completed after doing the full Common Sense Media lesson for each topic. Sign up for a free teacher account and download the lesson plans here: https://www.commonsense.org/education/digital-citizenship/curriculum
1st Grade Lessons:
1. Pause & Think Online
2. How Technology Makes You Feel
3. Internet Traffic Light
Tips for the teacher:
These activities are provided in Google Slides, but you can download and use it as PowerPoint instead if needed. In either version of the presentation software, have students use the file in edit mode (not presentation mode) the entire time for the pieces to be moveable.
I recommend waiting until the second half of the school year to do these 1st grade lessons because the slides do require basic reading skills. Alternatively, you can do the activities as a whole group and read the text to your students.
Answer keys are included for all of the digital activities.
