Description

This resource works on so many great technology skills. While students may be familiar with using snap cubes (or counting blocks or whatever you call them) to make designs, it brings the skill to a whole new level to do it digitally.

There are 4 levels for each design.

•Level 1 is the easiest and only includes the colors of that specific design. There are multiple of each color snap cube layered over each other so students shouldn’t have to copy/duplicate the cubes to make the full design. There is also a grid over the design to help students place the blocks.

•Level 2 is the same as level 1 except no grid and less layers of the snap cubes.

•Level 3 brings in extra colors and students will have to copy/duplicate the blocks as only a few are layered.

•Level 4 has only one of each color snap cube

  1. Cara M. (verified owner)

I went through and sorted them by how easy I thought they would be for my students and then created 3 google slides one for each grade level, so they won’t repeat the next year. So far, all of my students have loved the images we have tried to replicate!

  2. Kristin W. (verified owner)

This was a great, challenging activity! My students really enjoyed making the designs out of the cubes. Perfect for learning at home. Thank you!

  3. Michelle B. (verified owner)

I started using these with my middle level elementary kids and they were so excited and fully engaged in making the pictures. I love that it really helps them practice clicking and dragging. I will try it with lower grades next. Thanks!

  4. Alex V. (verified owner)

This resource is so nice to have for my younger students. They love getting on the computers and participating digitally-this resource makes them feel successful in doing so!

  5. Julie P. (verified owner)

My students loved the seasonal design pixel art. I gave them only spring pictures today and let them choose 3 to complete. Many asked me if they could do more! It’s a great lesson/practice for copy/paste.
