Description

Teach students how to save a file in a way they will never forget.
Have you given up on having your students save files on school computers because they never remember the steps to follow? I was so frustrated that they would “forget” how to save every single time, even after showing them again and again. I came up with a way to teach them that makes them so much more independent when using the school computers!
In this file you will find an editable PPT Presentation for the steps to save a file. I left it editable so that you can modify it to your exact school network and windows version. Anything underlined should be reviewed for accuracy on your network. Set it up and you’re ready.
Copy the Guided Notes page (1/2 page) for your students to fill in while you give the presentation. They will have blanks to fill in as you go through the steps. At the bottom of the guided notes are some guiding questions to help students understand the “why” behind saving their files. Next, students complete the foldable and reflection prompt. These 2 sets of information should be glued into a notebook (or lapbook file) so that the students can go back and access the information whenever they need it.
Be sure to follow my store to see the next files in this series. It will be a total of 16 Technology Sanity Savers Lessons. Great for computer lab teachers AND classroom teachers!
